Happy New Year from Chiang Mai for Travel Photo Thursday

Happy New Year from Chiang Mai for Travel Photo Thursday

January 1, 2015 By Nancie 23 Comments

Welcome to our 208th week of Travel Photo Thursday, and Happy New Year! Since arriving in Thailand I have literally not stopped. I have loved every minute of the last 2 weeks, and now I’m looking forward to a couple of days of relative solitude. I took this shot earlier today at the Chiang Mai moat, while walking home from a New Year’s Day lunch. This is my first shot of Chiang Mai in the new year, and my first shot of 2015.

To join in the Travel Photo Thursday fun simply post a photo on your blog.

Return here and place your link in the Mr. Linky at the bottom of this post.

Please post a link to a post featuring a travel photo, not simply a link to your blog.

The Twitter hashtag for Travel Photo Thursday is #TPThursday.

As a courtesy, please post a link to Budget Travelers Sandbox

We spent the New Year in Townsville Nancie. It goes without saying that I would rather be beside the moat in Chiang Mai 🙂

It’s been too long since I’ve been to Chang Mai, I love walking all the streets and areas around those canals. Happy New Years to you!

New Year’s for me was mellow this year – I was recuperating from my EU Christmas market extravaganza the week before. Happy New Year to you & happy travels in 2015!

I am hoping we will spend next winter in SE Asia. If so, Chiang Mai will be on the list. Lovely photo. Happy New Year from Australia!

This looks like a wonderful place to be anytime, including the first of the year. We enjoyed family skiing on the Solitude mountain resort slopes on this day.
