Beautiful Prague for Travel Back Saturday

Last Updated on November 18, 2014 by Nancie

I have so many great photos that never seem to see the light of day that I have decided to start a new weekly feature here at Budget Travel Sandbox. My first “Travel Back Saturday” features Prague, a city I came to love during the month I spent there a couple of years ago.

This first shot, showcasing Prague’s show stopping historic architecture, was taken from popular Kampa Island. The island is easily accessible from Prague’s historic Charles Bridge in Malá Strana(the Lesser Town).  Did you know that in 2011 Kampa Island was voted the second most romantic island in the world?

In this photo, to the very left, is the entrance to the Charles Bridge.

Then there’s  historic St. Nicholas Church, the most prominent landmark in the Lesser Town.

If you’re in Prague this fall/winter, you may want to check out  a concert to two at the church. You won’t be disappointed!

If you have a photo that you’d like to dust off and have featured on Travel Back Saturday, please shoot me an email at nanciemckinnon at Gmail dot Com. I’d be happy to feature your shot along with a brief description and a link back to your site.[/box]

    • I hope to get back again one of these days. It’s one of those that you never really leave. The memories simply linger.

  1. Nancie, I, too, love Prague. I’ll be heading there for a Xmas market pretty soon…can’t wait! Thanks for linking up with #wkendtravelinspiration!
