Travel Photo Thursday – September 29, 2011- Korean Traditional Dance

Last Updated on September 29, 2011 by Nancie

Welcome to another week of Travel Photo Thursday. Rain is falling here in Daejeon at the moment, and I hope it clears before tomorrow. We have a long weekend, and there is a world dance festival happening in Choenan, the city next to Daejeon. I should be there on Sunday with my camera ready to capture the costumes and performances.

To join in the Travel Photo Thursday fun simply post a photo on your blog. Return here and place your link in the Mr. Linky at the bottom of this post.
Please post a link to a post featuring a travel photo, not simply a link to your blog.

If you do tweet a shot, please use the hashtag #TPThursday.

Here are some of my favorite Korean dance shots…

  1. My knees have sympathy aches just looking at the fellow in the second photo. You’ve got a nice selection of dance shots and I’m loving the colourful costumes.

    • Thanks Cathy. You know it’s interesting, for a society that wears a lot of black in everyday life they really make up for it color wise in their traditional costumes.

  2. Lovely, bright costumes you’ve captured nicely. Looks like fun, both observing and dancing. Yet another reason to put Korea on the list of places to visit soon 🙂

  3. Those costumes are beautiful. I’d do anything to watch once of these dance festivals … can’t wait to make my way into Asia someday! 🙂

  4. These are lovely photographs. The first one almost looks 3D! The color and spirit of the dance and costumes are evident in these photos.
