Welcome to another week of Travel Photo Thursday I’ve just arrived in Halifax, and I’m still not seeing quite straight. A long trip it was, and I am totally jet lagged. My photo for this week has nothing to with Halifax. Do enjoy the shot, and next week I will definitely be featuring Nova Scotia.

This weeks shot is the beautiful beach in Hua Hin, Thailand. Only a couple of hours out of Bangkok, it’s easily accessible for a quick beach holiday. Although developers are trying to brand Hua Hin as more upscale, there is still plenty of good budget accommodation available. I discovered that it was best to go there and find something on site. Many of the cheaper properties are not available via the Internet. There is also a great night market here, and great outdoor seafood dining at reasonable prices.

Nice shot! It kind of reminds of a San Diego beach. Hua Hin sounds like my kind of place. We’ll definitely have to check it out when we are in Thailand.

This photo brings back such good memories of when I lived in Bangkok and we would go to Hua Hin for a weekend getwaway. Nothing beats the beach and a beach massage.

The only thing better than a sparsely populated beach is one with a great night market and outdoor seafood dining at reasonable prices!
