These Prague photos give you a glimpse of one of my favourite travel destinations, welcoming to solo travelers who like to travel slowly.  Welcome to week 351 (2017/11/29)  of Travel Photo Thursday. This week I’m sharing a few of my favourite photos from my 2012 Prague visit.

A view of the city from Kampa Island, easily accessible via the Charles Bridge.  Located in Prague’s Mala Strana neighbourhood, it’s been recognized as one of the most beautiful islands in the world. From world-class museums, restaurants and lovely walks and views there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Mala Strana

This is a view of the Mala Strana, (literally means: little side in English) taken from the right side of the entrance to the historic Charles Bridge. I love the orange roof tiles against the brilliant blue sky.

Old Town, Prague

One of my favourite places to take photos in Prague was from the top of the Old Town Hall Tower. I never tired of the views from the top, visiting several times during my month in the city.

Our Lady of Tyn Church, also taken from the tower, and one of the most famous churches in Prague. The funny thing is, I never managed to go inside. Every time I walked by, thinking I would drop in, it was closed. I think that’s a good reason to go back to Prague!

The classically trained musicians playing throughout Prague’s Old Town were always a delight. The streets are usually alive with music from late morning until early evening.

There are so many intricately designed archways and windows throughout the city. Be sure to always have an extra battery on hand. It’s impossible to not to take a lot of photos. in Prague.

In addition to the many street musicians and buskers entertaining visitors throughout Prague’s Old Town (and other places in the city), you’ll also find artists sketching and painting. I caught this artist painting the view from a wall leading to Prague Castle.

Finally, there’s Prague at night. What’s not to love?

You can leave your heart in Prague. There are several love-locked areas in Prague. You’ll find this one close to the Lennon Wall on Kampa Island.
