Wanderfood Wednesday — A Vegetarians Delight

Last Updated on December 9, 2010 by Nancie

Here we are for another week of Wanderfood Wednesday kindly hosted by Wanderlust and Lipstick.

If you’re in Ubud, Bali and have the urge for vegetarian food, you won’t be disappointed. I’ll be back in Ubud on December 24th, and cannot wait to treat my taste buds to another fantastic meal at Juice Ja Cafe. Easy to find on Dewi Sita; turn at the football field on Monkey Forest Road.

When I ate there last year I feasted on avocado dip with shrimp crackers………….

December/January is avocado season. Don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy this amazing fruit. I ate so much avocado last year I started to think I was turning green!!

Fried tofu with grated carrot……………(The dressing MADE this dish!)

The restaurant is casual, with friendly attentive staff. If you want to people watch, make your self comfortable on the outside balcony.

Prices are affordable for any travelers budget.

  1. Mmmm we love avocado. We couldn’t get them here until recently. Thankfully, one of the farmers has decided he can make money growing avocados. Great for us! 🙂
