Welcome to another week of Travel Photo Thursday. The teaching semester has reached the half way mark, and my thoughts are turning more and more to my winter travels. This winter I’ll be in Thailand and Spain, and I’m looking forward to spending time wandering through the local markets with my trusty camera.

I get lost in markets. Just love to browse them looking at all the food and local products. But if my wife wants me to go shopping at home with her I can’t stand it!

Markets are our favorite part of visiting new cities. Maybe they call out so much because we have such a limited ‘market season’ in the Puget Sound area of Washington State. . .May to October, well, with the exception of our famous Pike Place Market in Seattle.

I LOVE market photos. These are great. I’m wondering what the women in the first photo are chewing on.
I love markets like these and search for them when traveling! I like spicy food so the chilis caught my eye but I really love all the colors in Asia.
