This past weekend I was in Seoul for Buddha’s Birthday. This is one of the biggest events of the year here in Korea. It did not disappoint. The dancing, costumes, lanterns and floats were stunning. This is one of my favorite shots of the day…

Numerous events throughout the city are held to celebrate Buddha’s Birthday. You can check out the KNTO website for more information.
This is an annual event, and the date is based on the lunar calendar. These events are perfect for budget travelers, since everything is FREE.

Great photo – love the colours and the composition.
Beautiful shot!
I love the photo! Great repetition and colors. We were fortunate enough to be in Laos last year when they were celebrating Buddha’s birthday. We got to see some cool festivals and traditions.
Fantastic shot! It sounds like a fun time.
