Through the Sandbox Lens #42 — Prague from Above

Last Updated on June 30, 2012 by Nancie

I had a great day yesterday! Actually, everyday in Prague has been just that… GREAT. One of the highlights was finding myself atop of the Old Town Hall Tower…WOW WOW WOW…that’s all I can say! Personally, I think this should be on everyone’s bucket list. My camera was working overtime, and I captured some nice shots. That was this easy part. Deciding on a favorite, not so much. I finally decided on this one. Hard to put my finger on WHY?; I do love the angles and symmetry. I like the way the shot draws me into it.

(Don’t forget, if you want to see a larger version (and who doesn’t) simply click on the photo.)

You can’t miss the sign for the ticket office. Admission price is an affordable 105 CZK (Czech Koruna; approx. $5.50US). Hang onto your ticket and you’ll get a 50% discount to view the rooms at the old city hall next door. The tower opens at 9am and I recommend going up before the crowds. Even at shortly after 9am, it was hard not to bump into people in the narrow viewing area, and photos opps were often interrupted  by unexpected head!
