The 39th Annual Andong Mask Festival began yesterday in Andong, Korea. I took this shot at the opening ceremonies.

Masks freak me out especially clown ones, I would have to give this festival a miss.

Do the audience get to wear mask too?
Dina, sometimes at the performances they’ll get audience members up to dance. They don’t usually wear the masks though. You can make your own mask if you want. I think they change about $10.00.
Hi Dina, The audience doesn’t usually get to wear the masks. However, the dancers like to get the audience members up dancing, especially the foreigners!
