Travel Photo Thursday — 09/11/14 — More Penang Street Art

Last Updated on September 11, 2014 by Nancie

Another week of Travel Photo Thursday is upon us; week 193, to be exact. I should be on top of Travel Photo Thursday, but I’m not. Hopefully, things will be back to normal next week 🙂 Here’s some more Penang street art for you to enjoy.

To join in the Travel Photo Thursday fun simply post a photo on your blog.

Return here and place your link in the Mr. Linky at the bottom of this post.

Please post a link to a post featuring a travel photo, not simply a link to your blog.

The Twitter hashtag for Travel Photo Thursday is #TPThursday.

As a courtesy, please post a link to Budget Travelers Sandbox.

Cats, Cats, and more Cats…Love this one, but was located inside the gates of a private clan temple, and I never managed to go by when the gates were open. I could only shoot through the gate rails.

This one is so funny, located directly across from the fire station on Chulia Street.

“Trishaw man” is one of the bigger murals (and one of my favs), but believe it or not, unless you’re looking for, it it’s easy to miss. Located on Upper Penang Road, close to the Cititel Hotel.

  1. I tried to comment from my blog link and Google kept showing your blog (that I was in) as unavailable. So I went to Chrome, did a search and your blog came up and here I am! (I sometimes wonder why any of us put ourselves through these techno-stresses!) Rant over. Love these photos and of course, the kitties always win my heart first!

    • Hi Jackie. I am sorry you had such problems commenting. Computers are just so unpredictable! As you well know, I never pass up the opportunity to take a shot of a cat real or on a wall 🙂

  2. Hi Nancie, I’m absolutely enjoying the Penang arts you have been showing us. Please keep them coming. I like the trishack man, especially after i saw the detailed one. I dind’t think anything special about the Fire photo until I read your caption. Pretty clever! Looking forward to the next batch!

    • Hi Marisol,

I’m so glad your’re enjoying the art. Yeah, the fire photo is funny when you know the context. Thanks for linking up this week.

  3. It’s embarassing how many times I must have driven by the Trishaw Man without noticing him. My excuse is that my eyes were focused on the road and concentrating on not hitting actual trishaw drivers or motor scooters. Did you have a chance to eat at the Red Garden Hawker Center right by him? The last time I went by that cat parade mural, the clan temple had just started renovation. It’s my understanding that the gates would be locked for months until it was finished.

    • I almost never found the Trishaw man. Whatever I read said it was right at the bus stop close to the Cititel, but never mentioned the Red Garden. I did eat at the Red Garden. Hard to go wrong with the food served by the vendors. The temple is still being renovated, so I guess the gates are locked away until they finish (:

  4. I am enjoying seeing Penang’s street art scene. What a great and fun way to stroll around the city. Love that trickshaw man.
