Foodie Tuesday — November 26, 2013 — Korea’s Beauty Noodles

Last Updated on October 14, 2014 by Nancie

Wherever I travel, I always make a point of wandering the supermarket isles. Finding food that is different, and local is just so much fun. The packaging can also reduce me to tears of laughter, or at the very least, a good chuckle. I did a double take when I was shopping in one of Korea’s supermarkets earlier this week. This package caught my eye.

“Beauty Calorie Noodles”…the little arrow show how many calories are in each package. Low calorie means you can eat your noodles and keep your beauty. (At least, I guess so!)

Find beauty and calories in your noodles!

At close to $4.00US a pack, not in this traveler’s budget!

Do you cruise the supermarket shelves when you’re traveling?

Of course, Korean Traditional noodles are not low calorie and probably don’t add much to your beauty routine. However, I’d hazard a guess that they taste a whole lot better. I recently treated you to these traditional Korean noodles

  1. This is hysterical! I’ve never seen beauty and calorie used to describe noodles before. Something’s definitely lost in the translation. Will have to check if they have those noodles in NY’s Koreatown.

And to answer your question – yes, I like visiting the supermarket and market whenever I travel.
Thanks for linking up this week, Nancie!
