Korea has its fair share of world UNESCO sites, and one of the more interesting ones is the Hwaseong Fortress in the city of Suwon just outside of Seoul. I took this shot a few weeks ago when I attended the annual Hwaseong Cultural Festival. The fortress is easily accessible by train, subway or bus from anywhere in Korea. I highly recommend it as a day trip. To find out more: Hwaseong Fortress. ; Seoul subway; Trains and buses and other transportation in Korea.
The fortress is surrounded by this stone wall. I like the light in this shot, and how it accentuates the texture of the wall.

Oooh, looks like an interesting place. Must get to Korea.
Great photo, btw 🙂
There’s a lot to see and do here in Korea, and it is still off the beaten path.
