When you’re visiting the town, take the time to wander up and down the streets. We love our gardens here, and I’m sure you’ll love the riot of colour in our front and back yards. I snapped these beauties on my walk this morning. They look like daylilies, but because they’re blooming on a bush I don’t think they are. Okay, so I took a break to enjoy the sun on my balcony, and my condo neighbour who used to live in the house where I took this photo, walked by. She tells me that these are azaleas!

Overnight it seems that Fort Anne is enveloped in an emerald canopy.
The red chairs are waiting to welcome visitors to sit awhile and enjoy the Annapolis Basin views.
Sunset on the basin is always breathtaking.
Another irresistible bloom…

Gorgeous framing on the court house photo – very pretty.
Hi Lydia. Thanks so much. Whoever planted the trees must have been thinking how they’d look beside the courthouse as they matured.
The flowers in Annapolis Royal are fabulous coming into summer.
Hi Rhonda. Yes, they are. I went on a nature walk last night, and it beautiful to see all the wildflowers as well.
Beautiful! Spring looks to be worth the wait
Hi Jill. Unpredictable, but worth it. We’re back to cold now, but hopefully not for long! 🙂
Photos are fab! Thanks for sharing,. Much appreciated.
Hi Jennifer. Thanks for dropping by. I’m glad you enjoyed them. I can never get enough of the spring blossoms.
I love all the color here. So glad you’re getting a lot of sun during Spring. Beautiful photos.
Hi Mary. We were getting a lot of sun, but the weather in Nova Scotia is always totally unpredictable. The last few days we’ve been back to cold and rain. We had frost the last two nights!
Beautiful photos! I do love springtime 🙂 It’s especially wonderful in East Asia, when the cherry trees are in full bloom. Thanks for the post!
Hi Nathan. Yes, I always enjoyed the cherry blossoms when I lived in Korea. Cherry blossom time was magical.
I got so busy reading fellow blogger’s posts, that I forgot to comment after linking up yesterday. It does appear that you’ve adjusted well to your new/old world . . .and with photos like these, I can see that would be a most easy thing to do.
HaHa, Jackie. That’s an easy thing to do! It’s a pretty part of the world, and I’m close to my Dad. Itching to travel later in 2018 🙂
Great photo. Spring in Annapolis Royal looks beautiful.
Hi Donna! It really is. I just wish it would stop disappearing. We’ve had two nights of frost this week. The poor plants are not happy.
So glorious Nancie. I especially love the azaleas but every photo shows a place I’d be more that happy to live in!
wow…photos are worth thousand words..a treat to eyes..thanks for sharing
My pleasure. Thanks for dropping by. Visit us in Annapolis Royal sometime. 🙂
Hi Nancie, you always take such gorgeous photos! It’s been a beautiful spring here in the Netherlands, too. There are always lots of flowers, but this year there hasn’t been as much rain as usual, so the flowers have lasted a bit longer. I love it! #tpthursday
Hi Rachel. Thanks for your kind words. I haven’t been doing as much with my photography as in the past. I’m starting to miss taking the DSLR out on a photo shoot. I’m hoping that means my photography muse is returning. It’s turned cold here in Annapolis Royal and the Annapolis Valley this week. We’ve had some frost. I just read this morning that this had a severe negative impact on the apple crop. I feel bad for the farmers.
Pretty photos! I Spring isn’t my favourite season but this looks lovely! I do love all the colours!
I never tire of the colours of spring. Although, I wish it was a bit warmer. The temperature here has not been great in June.
Your photos are lovely! It looks like the April showers brought May some beautiful flowers! We were (still are) in Costa Rica for May. We drove across the whole country in one day- saw the Pacific and the Caribbean! https://www.thechristophercollective.com/tamarindo-pacific-limon-caribbean/

Thank you! Yes, there’s so much colour around right now. Perfection. That would have been quite the adventure driving across Costa Rica in a day. 🙂
All the flowers looks so gorgeous – it definitely sings spring! Certainly brought some respite to see them in the scorching Indian summer.
Annapolis in the spring looks simply lovely! We drove thru Nova Scotia in the summer and found it to be heaven.
Wow! What a stunning sunset in Annapolis Royal! The Fort Anne Historic Site also looks amazing. One more item for the bucket list 🙂
Amazing flowers and nice boulevard!!!
I took a picture of the same purple flower yesterday while I was on a hike! This place looks very charming with plenty of great scenery all around
