Welcome to another week of Travel Photo Thursday. On this last Travel Photo Thursday of 2011 I want to say thank you to everyone who made Travel Photo Thursday such a success in 2011. Happy New Year and all the best in 2012!
To join in the Travel Photo Thursday fun simply post a photo on your blog. Return here and place your link in the Mr. Linky at the bottom of this post.
Please post a link to a post featuring a travel photo, not simply a link to your blog.
As a courtesy please post a link to Budget Travelers Sandbox.
If you do tweet a shot, please use the hashtag #TPThursday.
Since December 23rd I have been a beach bum in Hua Hin, Thailand. Located a two hour drive outside of Bangkok, and home to the Thai Royal family summer residence, it’s a perfect spot for a beach holiday. Here are a few random shots I took today…

Oh, please, can I be a beach bum, too? The only thing I”m missing from these pictures is the guy selling silk scarves.
I had already seen these photos on flickr. I particularly like the first one. I’d choose a warm Christmas and New Year over a white one any day.
Nice, I love these photos. Interestingly enough, I also have a water theme for this week’s TPT. (Will be posted shortly)
What the life!! really love that last horseback riding photo. I can imagine myself there!!
For me, Christmas has to be white, crisp and cold. New Years, too. But come January, I wouldn’t flying kites in Hua Hun for a while 🙂
I always love a good beach for taking in the new year. It makes my cheese-head family and friends jealous!!!
I particularly like the light in that first photo. Looks lovely. Enjoy your well earned rest, Nancie!
Thanks for providing Travel Photo Thursday. All the best to you for the coming year!
[…] Okay, I know I said I was off this week, but I could not resist sharing with you this photo that we used for our Christmas Card this year. Apologies if you tried to use my link (#1) I’ve put the correct one up at #9 and you can also follow the comment luv link below this comment. (Nancie, is there a way to remove #1 from the list, or edit it?)

Happy New Year to all of you! And thanks much Nanci for keeping this going. I’ve not only seen some wonderful photos, been tempted by new interesting destinations, but also feel like I’ve made some new blogosphere friends! Enjoy your travels`
Ah, what a way to fly! And no airfare to pay, either!
Wow ! I wanna be a beach bum, too.
Being a beach bum sounds really good to me right now (especially since I’m nursing a cold). Guess I’ll have to settle for looking at your great pics instead.
Looks like you could be pretty active – if you wanted!
I missed last week, so just checked in now. I LOVE your Christmas pictures from last week. I really wish I could have been there with you.
Happy New Year, Nancie!
Beach photos in the middle of the winter… since I just came from outside and I’m a little frozen, it’s just what I need!
To all the participants to Travel Photo Thursday, Happy New Year!
Looks like a lovely place to spend the New Years!
Happy New Year everyone and see you all in 2012 🙂
I have always loved a tropical Christmas. How lucky you are to be there right now. Wonderful pictures! I’m imagining being one of those in the massage beds. Happy New Year!
Glad you are enjoying your time in Thailand and beng a “beach bum”. 🙂
Hope you had a great Christmas and all the best in 2012!
Being in Thailand is a good escape from the intense cold in the winterland. Your New Year must be perfectly warm. I wish to join this TPThursday real soon.
Happy New Year, LadyE 🙂
Are you kitesurfing?
