In reply to Andrew Graeme Gould. Spring is one of the best times of the year to take photos here. The water and sky were so blue. Difficult to take a bad shot with all that beautiful color around!

In reply to Cathy Sweeney. Cathy, I almost never get good bird shots when they are flying overhead. I really concentrated on holding the camera steady, and I waited until the gull was relatively close. It worked!
