Most of my holidays over the past 17 years have been spent in warmer climates or (quite often) on airplanes. There have almost always been beautiful Christmas decorations.

You have seen some great holiday decorations over the years. My holiday season is during the summer (southern hemisphere) so I’m quite happy to stay local and enjoy the beach and a few BBQs.
Our family does an every other year thing – we go to the kids one year and they come home to us the next. So for the last 4 years it’s been Colorado and home – but this year we are heading to New York for our kid visit and it’s my first time in NYC at Christmas. So exciting!

I love the photo taken in Nova Scotia. We live in Sydney Australia. It is always hot on Christmas Day and this year doesn’t look like it will be any different.
We always spend Christmas at home and don’t have a lot of Christmas photos. Our current hometown of Coolum Beach has a huge pine tree decorated with oversize parcels. They must be very sturdy because they stay put and still look good even after storms. Merry Christmas! Your first in your new home!
Hi Nancie, wish you the best during this holiday season and the upcoming year! We try to go out for the season (a city in California or another state) but this year looks like we are going to spend the time home. I am having the last week of the year off so, I hope to fit a short trip in there. Have a great time in your new neighborhood!
Loved this compilation of great Christmas photos and decorations from your various travels and now, in your new home area as well. Hopefully, you’ll have some snow on the ground for a white Christmas which will make your first Christmas in your new home this year even more special. Happy New Year Anita. We did have snow and rain in Halifax on the Christmas Day and then a huge wind storm. Since come back to AR we have had nothing but snow and cold. We are having a major storm today, and right now it’s raining. Expected to turn to snow later this evening. There is also a wind warning in effect for tonight. Happy New Year. I hope you have lots of great travel planned for 2018.
